Colored Musicians Club Jazz Museum has a very rich and significant history. The CMC Jazz Museum is a multimedia archive where the visitors can view and interact with artifacts that represent the long history of the club.
In the 1930's, 40's, and 50's, all the great stars of jazz who came to town stopped in to jam with their friends and local musicians. Stars who played at the club include: Dizzy Gillespie, Duke Ellington, Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holliday and Count Basie to name a few.
